Privacy Policy

How CopyBluray handles language preferences, optional analytics, local troubleshooting data, affiliate links, and hosting records.

Last updated: August 29, 2026

This policy describes the current CopyBluray website. The website operator is Copybluray. CopyBluray publishes comparison and educational content for personal media archiving and authorized backup use; it does not process discs or media files, provide user accounts, or accept file uploads.

Information processed when you visit

  • Hosting and delivery data. CopyBluray is delivered through Cloudflare Pages and related network services. Cloudflare may process an IP address, requested URL, date and time, browser or user-agent information, request headers, and security or diagnostic records needed to deliver and protect the site.
  • Language preference. When you choose a language, the site stores a cb_locale cookie containing only the selected language code. It can remain for up to one year. On the root page, the Cloudflare function may also read your browser's Accept-Language header to choose a language when no preference has been saved.
  • Analytics choice. The site stores copybluray_analytics_consent in your browser's local storage so it can remember whether you allowed or declined optional analytics.
  • Session duplicate prevention. If analytics is allowed, short cb_event entries may be stored in session storage to avoid sending the same interaction twice within one browser tab session. These entries stay in your browser.
  • Optional Google Analytics. This consent requirement applies to visitors worldwide: Google Analytics 4 (GA4) is loaded only after you select Allow. Its default web measurement can process page and session activity, approximate location, and browser or device information. CopyBluray also sends limited labels such as page, selected workflow goal, platform, disc type, result, product, and button position. The implementation does not send disc names, file names, pasted log text, account IDs, email addresses, or device identifiers as custom event fields. Google may set its own analytics cookies or identifiers after consent.

Local troubleshooting data

Text pasted into the troubleshooting tool is processed in your browser. The tool redacts local paths, user names, media file names, and long identifiers in the displayed preview. The pasted text and redacted preview are not uploaded to CopyBluray or sent to Google Analytics. If analytics is allowed, the site may send only a generic diagnostic-start event and the identifier of a matched rule.

Affiliate and external links

Some links lead to third-party software or vendor websites and include CopyBluray source and button-position labels. When you follow one of these links, the destination receives the normal web request and handles it under its own terms and privacy policy. CopyBluray may receive a commission from some links at no additional cost to you.

Why this information is used

  • Deliver, secure, and troubleshoot the website.
  • Remember your language and analytics choices.
  • Measure page and feature usage after consent so guides and troubleshooting can be improved.
  • Understand which comparison or vendor link a visitor selected.

Service providers and disclosures

Cloudflare processes technical delivery data as the hosting and network provider. Google processes analytics data only after consent. A third-party vendor processes data when you choose to visit its website. The current site does not include user accounts, email marketing, a payment processor, targeted advertising, or a mechanism for selling personal information. Information may also be disclosed when required by applicable law or to protect the site and its users.

Retention and your choices

  • The cb_locale cookie can remain for up to one year unless you delete it sooner.
  • The analytics choice remains in local storage until you reset Analytics preferences or clear site data. Session duplicate entries end with the browser tab session.
  • Cloudflare and Google retain data according to the relevant account settings and their own policies. The site source code does not establish a single retention period for those providers.
  • Use Analytics preferences in the footer to reopen the choice. You can also clear or block cookies and site storage in your browser. Resetting the browser choice stops future loading on this device but does not delete measurement already received by Google.

Children, international processing, and changes

CopyBluray is a general-audience information site and is not designed to collect information from children through accounts, uploads, or messaging. Cloudflare and Google may process information in countries other than your own. This policy will be updated when the site's data practices or service providers materially change, and the date above will be revised.
